DSD has informed me that (now let me use the correct terminology here), I’m a Scroogy McDuckFace for only wanting to decorate the half of the tree you can see.. in my defence I did suggest the token decoration for the backside..

No other child in the house is offering an opinion, so we’re throwing it out to that ‘mums thing’ I go on.. 🤷🏻‍♀️ You see the dilemma here!

I've found my people! The last few years we've been a bit tight on space and only put up half of our tree 😂 I love it, and often people don't notice until I mention it anyway

YAVBU where is your sense of symmetry? Your esthetics? Do you only have a nice house front and is a secret hoarder behind the blinds?
Do you look lovely and is a grinch deep down?

It is not just looks, but the knowledge that things are proper both front and back - inside as well as outside.

You have to distribute the decorations evenly all over the tree, but any fancy/ unusual/dn favourite ones all go at the front. Although I suppose if it's in a corner you can't really see the back. Mine doesn't go in a corner.

What about a fuck it drawer? For all the uncecassary shit that accumulates that doesn't quite have a category but you couldn't possibly throw out so it gets put in thr fuck it drawer and it's existence forgotten about.

I don’t even have a tree and won’t be getting one, tell them that so they can see what a true scrooge is!!!

Ooooh they would not be pleased with my tree then! To stop my youngest dare devil climbing or pulling it down, out tree is in the corner behind a chair!
We have only decorated 3/4 of the top part showing above the chair back!! Although my DD has made up for it by using nearly all the decorations in that space
