Anyone else due their Thomas Cook refund today....

I'm checking my bank account and emails every half hour but I'm not hopeful. I recieved an email 2 days ago asking for more information even though I provided it already twice,!
Seems the claims prices hasn't been as, smooth as we were told. So many people still waiting for refunds from CEGA who cannot even give any updates over the phone.
It's do frustrating!
Hoping for good news soon!

i know all we all wanted was a holiday and what makes it worse the ones who was not atol protected have already had refunds.
maybe we should all start something online so we are listened to but before the election to get the word out there.

My refund application has been handed onto Protect Claims who have now sent the same email twice asking for the same information. We have sent EVERYTHING through to them within a couple of hours of them asking.

You can't contact them direct. CAA useless.

I JUST WANT MY MONEY BACK.

Cega are the sane, no way of contacting them to even check for an update. Its so frustrating, people who claimed after me have already been refunded! Theres no order to it at all. I'm doubtful for a refund before Xmas Angry

We received ours on the evening of the deadline day. Then on Saturday the CAA rang to check we’d got it ok which was surprising!

i have been sending so much info bank statements etc and trying to ring them all day phones just cut off more like they are answering and dropping the phone back down to cut you off
glad to hear someone has received there refund gives a glimmer of hope

Tracked mine on right path and it comes up saying they don't deal with the Thomas cook claims?! Despite it saying right path on the bottom of my claim reference. Had to email

We are waiting for over £4k too. Our case is fairly complex.... we had a holiday booked with TC in autumn 2018 and the flight going out was very badly delayed. We were entitled to compensation under the EU rules and opted to take this in thomas cook vouchers rather than cash. Then booked another holiday for autumn 2019 using the compensation as part payment.

CAA says we get the entire value of holiday back in cash, including the compensation. I have sent EVERYTHING they have asked for. Status on the protect claims website is "pending approval".

I think what pisses me off the most is that I submitted the claim in the morning of 7th October, the very first day possible. Then I heard NOTHING for 9 weeks until a week before the payment deadline when they start asking for more info.

@highlea3 we were asked to submit all sorts of information 2 days before the deadline. Then we got an email saying we’d hear something within 28 days which was annoying but on the day of the deadline, the money just appeared in our account without warning, so keep checking!

@PineappleDanish I received the same emails twice from Protect claims asking for the same information. I don't know what else I can send them! What a joke.

I have logged into the protect claims site - you need your ref number the CAA gave you and the number of your ATOL certificate. I have sent a message asking them to confirm that they now have everything they need.

No reply.

I have received my refund today. The portal still reads claim is "Awaiting Review" so I wouldn't put much stock in that. I hope everyone else has equal success soon!

i have just received my refund and a confirmation email.
after 1 hour on the phone to caa yesterday and sending them a email saying i have sent all my stuff twice what else can i do as i paid some with gift vouchers they wanted receipts of gift vouchers purchased but who keeps receipts once the voucher has been used. hope every gets there refund soon.

Fucks sake... have just had ANOTHER email from them (that's three now) asking for proof of the initial deposit we paid and the balance of the deposit, dating back to October 2018.

Still no further forward! Another email requesting info yesterday! I've emailed every address I can find and still no updates. So unprofessional!

Finally been paid today. Full amount. Loads of people still having problems though. Its put me right off booking with a travel agent again! That's twice they've went bust in a year! Nothing is safe x

We have received a refund but it did not include the deposit, we are advised the deposit is not part of the contracted price?
