My kids' classes don't do group gifts, just wondering what teachers like? Wine? Chocolates? Can't have too much of either right?

Some teachers receive hundreds of pounds worth of presents - I feel like this is verging on the type of gift any other public sector worker would have to declare.

I’ve worked at a school where some parents went a bit overboard. We did have to declare, I think many schools have a policy on this.

Glue sticks, blu tack, sellotape in a good dispenser, highlighters, laminator pouches, notebook and a thank you card

I would be very happy with wine or choc. No to glue sticks etc. Not every school is in a dire financial situation. We are lucky enough to afford glue.

As a secondary school teacher I often received gifts at Christmas, mostly wine and chocolate. It was a boys comprehensive too Grin

I'm a TA (somewhat further down the pecking order but we do sometimes get gifts) I'd be cock a hoop with wine or chocolates. (If you don't drink wine surely you take it along to parties/dinner parties or offer it to your guests so in my book always useful.)

Wine all the way

Pregnant teacher here so no wine please!!! 😂 I'd love chocolates or biscuits. Failing that, laminator pouches! There is always a dire shortage and who doesn't love laminating?! A4 would be great but if you really want to treat me then what about a selection of A4 and A3?!! Oooooh happy!
