Or is my DH a bit of an antisocial old twat?

Been together more than 10 years.

Usually go to bed together which I relish, it's nice and calm without the kids, quiet, we can have a lovely cuddle, quick cosy chat, lovely.

He's not that bothered though, apparently he likes 'alone time', he'd often rather sit downstairs, alone, watching NFL or Madam Secretary drinking coke and eating junk food.

Sad

Yep! I like alone time too! I couldn’t cope with someone constantly wanting my time.

He’s a grown man and can do what he likes.

Get a book

Oh dear. This is me. I don’t want to go to bed at the same time as DH. I don’t want to cuddle or chat. I want to watch my tv shows in peace.

Madam secretary is fab.

Me and DH rarely go to bed together, I tend to stay up a bit later. Not because I'm anti social though so no matter how "lighthearted" you think you are not getting the connection.

I love being alone, not having to talk to anyone. My dp does not get it.

We're the same. He likes antique shows, Flogit, Vera, Midsomer, Endeavour. I like travel shows, Simon Reeve, anything about trains, bridges, and documentaries. (Yeah, strange, I know!) So I sit upstairs in our lovely bedroom and he sits downstairs. Then we catch up afterwards. That's the way we roll.

No one is being unreasonable. You both have different needs. It's called compromise.
