To put DS in PJ bottoms in the day?

DS (15 months) doesn’t wear PJ bottoms to bed as he wears a wool nappy cover and sleeping bag. He’s got several nice pairs of PJs where the bottoms just don’t get worn! AIBU just to use them as regular trousers? They are no different from colourful leggings/parsnip pants/hareems/joggers really are they?

YANBU they will be nice and comfortable for him and it saves them being wasted.

Mummytea24 · 05/12/2019 10:32

All that matters is that he is warm and happy :)

Of course YANBU! I can't think of a single reason why anyone would think you were BU. He's 15 months not 15 years!

The only time this wouldn't be ok is when he goes to school and is begging to wear proper trousers and you are saying 'no! Pajama bottoms!' at 18 months all that matters is warmth and comfort.

My two both lived in onesies day and night for the first 18 months. (When it was warm enough obviously).

Khione · 05/12/2019 11:41

Of course it's fine.

I also used to put my boy in tights under whatever bottoms he was wearing during the day (pjs or trousers).

If he didn't take his socks off; they were forever falling off, especially when he was crawling. Tights were far more practical.

He's in his 40s now and I've never told him Grin

It's fine. My kids frequently get the remark "oh what lovely pyjamas" when they wear a new frugi (non pj!) outfit, so obviously it's not that easy to tell the difference.

No offence, but surely you didn't need to ask MN! There will be many more important things to decide where you will have to go with your gut and make a decision!

WorldEndingFire · 05/12/2019 12:25

Star if he's warm, clean and comfortable then the only approval you need is your own!
