AIBU flat tyre

2 days ago I got a screw in my tyre. My dad brought it to be fixed as I needed to work. The garage was busy so he left it there and collected it yesterday. When he gave it to my husband he noticed it was flat but put it my car and pumped it up but 2 hours later it had gone down. My husband pumped it up this morning so I could bring it back to the garage but no apology. They told me I’d need a new tyre - fine not a problem. They are charging me £75 for a ‘mid range’ tyre apparently with a small discount. No mention of a refund for fixing it previously. A bit made as I am now missing work for something hi no that should have been sorted! AIBU to challenge the garage?

Inside- just saw your second post. I know this happens. It’s just life. Would have appreciated at least an apology from the garage for not noticing it wasn’t fixed in the first place. Still at least I have a nice new tyre now and can get back to work!

Just in case do take it to your usual garage and get them to balance the tyres etc. I would probably want a second opinion on that replacement, check it 'fits' with the others on the car!

Curious, good idea I didn’t think about that. I’ll do that this weekend.
