Yesterday dp bought two tubs of ice cream to have with pancakes. 1 strawberries and cream, 1 peach Melba.

Even tho he doesn't like peaches. Or indeed Melba. Whatever the hell that is.

Anyways, we shared out around 2/3 of ice cream amongst the pancakes but I didn't have any ice cream or pancakes (( American style for anyone who cares ))

So tonight dp starts getting twitchy over the remaining ice cream in the freezer.

I informed him it was gone, down my neck to be precise. And very tasty it was too.

Apparently it was unfair to neck the ice cream entirely and I should have had half with half peach Melba. Because he doesn't like peach Melba. So that isn't fair.

I pointed out no.fucker really likes peach Melba. And thems the risks you takes when you piss about with ice cream flavours.

He's now gone off for a walk, probably via Morrisons so he can scoff a bag of Jaffa cake donuts to himself to spite me.

So who's unreasonable ? Me for scoffing all the decent ice cream or him for twatting about with ice cream flavours and expecting me to ration my pud ??!

Where can I buy peach melba icecream? We have a fantastic ice cream parlour near us that do something similar but I've never seen it in supermarkets.

lotusbell I think it was from one of those cheap freezer shops. Either heron foods or farm foods. It's a carte d'or one .........you aren't missing much

On the subject of freezer shops one does a fab, apple strudel ice cream. It's some obscure brand but really good.

Jaffa cake doughnuts? The man is a heathen and you should leave him, regardless of ice cream-gate.

Just buy some more strawberry flavour. It isn't as though the peach flavour will go off in the freezer and sooner or later someone will fancy eating it.

I don't know why Salted Caramel is such a thing-it's everywhere at the moment.

Mango is the best ice-cream flavour, but home churned. Mangoes are ripe here ATM and deliciously dribbly. Alone they can give off the faintest cabbagey whiff, but made into ice-cream they are perfection.

Does DD like Peach Melba? I like the thought of Peach Melba even less now I know why it's so named, can never get on with things like this. For example, strawberry ice cream, I know it will have strawberries in it. Peach Melba, i know it will have peaches and... Bits of Nelly in it (not envy)
