Restaurant opening times

If a restaurant is open 5pm-9.30pm is it unreasonable to turn up at 9.25pm and order a thee course meal?

You wouldn’t go to the supermarket 5 minutes before closing and expect to spend an hour doing a big shop.

People do though.People have no shame.

When I was a waitress that would annoy me but fair game if the kitchen was open.

When i was running my own hotel I would be rubbing my hands together and hand seating them myself even if it meant sending staff home (although ime almost every waiter I’ve ever known has been after extra hours so would lap it up!)

I agree though if she doesn’t want people coming in she needs to state a kitchen closing time, and then stick to that
