To ask for ideas as to what caterpillar toy my son is talking about?

DS is 3. On multiple occasions recently when talking to both me and ex about Christmas, he has asked for "a caterpillar toy that moves". Other than a pull along style one on a stick which I feel is pretty young for a 3 year old, I have no idea what he's talking about, but his persistence makes me think he's seen one somewhere. Have tried Google, which mainly brings back dog toys. Can anyone save me and shine a light on what on earth he's talking about?

My 5 year old has a MegaBloks Caterpillar that is used in a lot of games

Give him an argos book and ask him to find it.

Works with my kids.

Lots of excellent ideas! I will try and show them to him gradually and see what feedback I get. The codeapillar seems particularly promising! And failing that I'll take dandelion's suggestion and go for making him look at Argos options lol

Is it the hot wheels crocodile? I suggest that as my mum once called it 'the caterpillar toy'...

There’s a wind up caterpillar that moves it might be as simple as that

Allfednonedead · 10/12/2019 17:48

We’ve got three of the wind up caterpillars, and we all love them. They actually get more attention than the codeapillar, which we also have.

I blinking hated that thing!!

Tubbymummy44 · 10/12/2019 22:34

I think the codapillar too.

CharityConundrum · 10/12/2019 22:40

I immediately thought of this - my mum has one and my boys love it:
