Hi everyone,

I've managed to do my back in this morning after carrying something really heavy up the stairs.

I've never injured my back before now so I'm not sure if what I'm experiencing is worth getting looked at.

So I felt it go at the top of the stairs and ever since I've just been in agony with my lower back, I can't lift my legs up without them having shooting pains up them, I'm not comfortable in any position. Struggling to pick up my little one. Pains getting worse etc.

AIBU to not get this checked out ? Friend has said it's a sprain and nothing can be done, haven't had a bad back before so might just be being a wimp!

I had exactly same thing.
"Take paracetamol and rest it for 6 weeks"
"I did"
"Hmmm. Try bit longer"
Been 6 years now🙄 It gets better and then you have to strengthen the core. It really helps.

Sorry for your loss. Apart from the codiene and waiting until Monday have they advised anything else, any follow up for the back pain?

@Wishforsnow The doctor said usually you can take three tablets codeine, paracetamol and ibuprofen but he said due to the other things going on I should just stick to paracetamol for now until I've been seen at the EPU.

Hello everyone,

Feeling very rubbish today, I haven't had any bleeding today so I'm feeling confused.

Back is a lot better than it has been so that's one good thing however have been experiencing a horrible pain in the pit of my stomach since yesterday evening, which woke me up in the night and have had it since, I'm unsure if it's anything to worry about it feels like a trapped wind pain that comes in waves every few minutes just never had it in this place before.

Hate not knowing what's going on with my body but it must be unrelated to the pregnancy due to it being the upper abdomen area?

Sorry for rambling on, thank you all for your kind words and I will keep you updated I'm having a scan in the morning x

Could it be to do with hormones? You know how everything softens and stretches, could you be getting acid pains from that?
Perhaps the EPU will be able to explain what it could be?
