Fawlty Towers was the best sitcom of all time. Set in Torquay. Father Ted next best. Craggy Island.

You may have a point. Recently watched some episodes of Cuckoo, supposedly set in Lichfield, Staffs. From what I saw, it was filmed in Farnham, Surrey, and other places nearby. Why? How odd.

Although Fawlty Towers was meant to be in Torquay, all the outdoor scenes were in London or Buckinghamshire. The famous car-beating scene was in a north London Street.

Why Doc Martin filmed in Port Isaac? It's the Notting Hill of Cornwall.
