"Ill raised, ignorant, aggressive and illegitimate children". That's your children, single mums, AND the one or two he's fathered outside his marriage. Not to mention Ms Wyatt's abortion. Writing for The Spectator, of course. Vote for him for more of the same. AIBU yet more evidence he's unfit for office?

I don't know how much more pathetic this can get. The Independent are so crap they couldn't even exist as a real newspaper and are dredging up stories from 25 years ago.

I hope you're being paid well for this boring regurgitation.

StarbucksSmarterSister · 28/11/2019 11:51

This is the first time I've seen specific information about any of his other children. Is Hannah Jane Parkinson the mother?

It’s also in the guardian, The mirror, the metro....
Take your pick.

@longwayoff

I am not a fan of BJ or the bloody Tories, but as bad as he is, I think all of them are bit questionable if I'm being honest. I mean, people slag off Corbyn, and keep on about the antisemitism in his party - and quite rightly as it is terrible. But Boris is no better - (worse probably!)

I know people who were ardent Labour supporters who won't vote Labour with JC in charge, and also people who usually vote Tory who cannot stand Boris and feel the Tories have let the Brexit supporters down.

And as for LibDems; no need for words there.

Then, I know people who feel pissed off and let down with Farage not contesting safe Tory seats (with the Brexit Party,) so if they live in an area with a safe Tory seat, they can't pick The Brexit party as it's not on their voting form! EG, some areas have only Labour, Tory, Green, and LibDems in their area.

Some people don't want to vote for any of those 4.

They're all bloody shyte if you ask me.

I didn't know who to vote for last time, and I don't know this time either. I have never felt so politically homeless, and it makes me sad.

KidLorneRoll · 28/11/2019 12:04

"if you're voting Labour "

I'm not.

pigsDOfly · 28/11/2019 12:17

Trump talk about 'grabbing women's pussies', Johnson talks about his 'tottometer and patting women on the bottom'.

I suppose Johnson's words are slightly less crass than Trumps, but it's all more of the same.

I find it very depressing that these are the sort of people we have at the head of governments, and I'm pretty certain they're not the only ones.

longwayoff · 28/11/2019 12:26

@MistyCloud, I feel much the same. For me, Boris Johnson (and his henchman, Dominic Cummings, playing his Nero-ish role whilst sniggering at the results) is top of the list of charlatans, chancers, conmen and sleight of hand merchants we have set out in front of us to choose from. Farage would be joint top but has ceased to be of relevance. And BJ will be Prime Minister! Confused. So many people are effectively disenfranchised. Can't believe what we've allowed to happen to our country. This is just the beginning.

He's been caught arranging to have a journalist beaten up.

To be fair, that's not entirely true. He said he'd help his criminal mate who wanted to have a journalist beat up, it's entirely different!*

  • It's not.
KnowBetterDoBetter · 28/11/2019 12:31

Idiot. My 4yo DD is far less ignorant and better raised than that Poundland Trump, and all the credit is mine as a lone parent.

I guess DC of single mums are statistically more likely to experience growing up in a family which has been directly and significantly harmed by the austerity ideology. So they're not a part of the electorate he's ever going to appeal to, hence his historic & continued disregard for their value.

Sadly, it'll make little difference. I think Boris and Jacob could literally roam the streets exterminating poor people and the first story on BBC News will still be about Jeremy having wonky glasses.

longwayoff · 28/11/2019 12:38

Stephanie is Helen MacIntyre's daughter by Boris from his Mayor days.

@longwayoff I’ve tried googling it. So far I’ve yet to find it. Only articles about it. And since in the last few days I’ve read numerous quotes taken out of context of their original I’m not going to just take biased opinion pieces at their word.

Since you do have an opinion on it, presumably you have read the original. Care to share?

HereBePumpkins · 28/11/2019 13:15

I assume you’re practically perfect in every way Op?

Littlelamp456 · 28/11/2019 13:56

Do you have to be perfect to not want to settle for a lying and misogynistic (amongst other things) leader of this country?

Writersblock2 · 28/11/2019 14:13

You mean Corbyn? Hmm

longwayoff · 28/11/2019 14:31

@Writersblock2, we agree about not taking biased opinion pieces at their word so you'll understand why, as The Spectator employs the most misogynistic, right wing journalists to be found, and glories in it, it's not on my must read list. So, no, I haven't read the original. For which I'm thankful; as your assiduous googling will have demonstrated, there is a seasonal pick and mix of appalling Boris quoted comments available from many sources. So, if you think I've misled you, try some of those instead. Boris is but a mirror for his supporters.

@HereBePumpkins. It's not school holidays already, surely?

OP posts:
Writersblock2 · 28/11/2019 14:35

I don't think you've misled me, no. But I think it's folly to judge a quote in another piece without knowing the original intention. For example, the letterbox quote has been paraded about, but in the original, the context is vastly different.

I've read a number of the articles with the quotes. I'm still in the dark re. the source material.

ArthurtheCatsHumanSlave · 28/11/2019 14:39

I don't disagree that BJ has had a colourful past. But then so has JC. A least BJ doesn't have one of his ex-lovers on his front bench (that we know off!).

Being of European parentage, I do feel the English do get so hung up on their leaders private life. Who cares really? The Italians had Berlusconi, got rid of him once, and then voted him in again. The French have Macron, and I seem to remember previous French leaders all had mistresses and no-one batted an eyelid. Further afield Trump, of course, has a colourful past too.

Yep I agree!

And it's going from bad to worse.

Looks like it's getting more and more likely that the Tories will win this election.
