To ask where people buy clothes??

I'm not sure if I'm being unreasonable or looking in the wrong places but I cannot find any nice work clothes.

I have a job where I'm expected to look smart casual/semiformal but clothes get ruined easily and I need to be able to move. I tend to wear black jeans and button shirts, or leggings and a dress/long flowy button up shirt. Usually with black trainers due to my role.

A lot of my current shirts are starting to look a bit tatty but I just cannot find anything I like! I dont want to spend a fortune as they will probably get ruined sooner or later. When I look online all I can find is 'night out' tops or plain boring school style button ups.

Where do people buy reasonably priced clothes that are smart but have a bit of personality?
I'm not overly trendy but I'm only mid twenties so want to avoid frumpy!
