Do you rush out to move your car as soon as "your" space is free?

I live in a street that is a mix of semi's and terraced. Some have drives and some do not. I've noticed how obsessed people are with moving their cars constantly.

There's two particular ladies, who will watch the street if someone is parked in "their" space and run out the second the other car moves to move their car, even at midnight - and have even been known to knock on doors and tell people to move.

Now I'm not talking about a street that is rammed and they are half a mile away, we are talking a matter of a house or two.

We've had new neighbours move in and there is a constant bitching session outside about "who do they think they are, they've been here two minutes and think they can park wherever they like!" Well, yeah, they can actually!

Are they bonkers or is it me?

Hilarious! One of my friends parks in the street when she visits rather than on my drive "because I can" - because she finds it so funny seeing everyone get so angry over it!

I do! Mainly it's if we have an early start or a load to take to the tip or wherever, as it makes leaving ten times easier.

However, I will also do it if the parking has become a bit all over the place. It's a road of terraces and there's a pattern that works well which sometimes gets messed up and we end up with lots of half spaces wasted. After living here a while, I know it keeps all of us happier to have the pattern work - and it means we don't get idiots parking diagonally, half on the pavement. I used to think it was silly, but now I don't care - it's worth it for more cheerful community.

A neighbour of mine got into a ridiculous parking spat with her NDNs (the NDNs are awful tbf - we've never even spoken but they've chucked eggs at me twice).

She's now bought a banger so she can permanently park it outside her house, purely to stop the NDNs parking there. The banger never moves. Her actual car is now parked on the driveway of another neighbour who doesn't drive....!
