I'm currently pregnant with my first and found a really useful thread recently where parents were discussing things they wished they knew when they had babies. The concept of being able to pull sleepsuits up as well as down (or maybe the other way around?!) and something to do with leg-flaps on nappies featured heavily! Does anyone recognise the sound of this thread/remember the name if so? I would love to find it again!

If not, I'd love to hear any more tips people might have!

I'm due to have a baby in November, and I wondered if anyone has advice of things to buy that were an absolute must have when you were giving birth/ settling into life with a baby at home?

Perhaps things that I wouldn't initially think of, but couldn't live without, and would then have to make a trip out to buy them.
I like to be as organised as possible!

(Sorry, I know this isn't strictly AIBU, but posting for traffic!)

Thank you!

DD is 9 months

Don't buy baby clothes other than a handful of vests/babygrows to get you through the first few days. You don't know what size baby'll come out at and you'll probably get bought plenty as gifts.
Do yourself a baby medicine kit prior to birth with things like gripe water, snuffle baby, Calpol plug in, Calpol etc most of these things have a long use by date and at 4am when your baby won't settle due to wind or the snuffles you'll be glad you've stuff in.
When your taking 100 photos a day make sure to get plenty with you in, most mums end up behind the camera and miss out on looking back at photos of them and baby.
