AIBU?

To ask for new uniforms?

Not really an AIBU but posting for traffic.
I just started a new job and my uniforms are too big, I measured myself for them a few times to make sure I got the sizes right but it's quite hard to measure yourself and I didn't have any one else who could measure me. Anyway they're a bit too big. I could probably get away with them but I would prefer smaller ones.
I feel really reluctant to ask my new work to replace them because I feel like it'll make a bad first impression and they might be kind of annoyed with me because they've all been ordered, delivered etc. They'd be able to change them, it wouldn't cost them any more.
Would it be better just to pay a seamstress to alter them?
Please no mean comments i.e wasn't I stupid to measure myself wrong Smile if you feel like being mean then keep scrolling by! Thanks Smile

I dont see the issue with asking? Just can always ask, right?

I'm just worried they'll be like "ffs this girl has only just started and she's already made a mistake and asking for things"
I have issues with anxiety and overthinking things and worrying about being rude etc by the way so if I come across as a bit much that's why Blush

I feel like we have had quite a few too big uniform posts in the last few days! Clearly something going on. Just mention it, maybe frame it as maybe you’ll look smarter with a better fitting uniform. Don’t ask don’t get and all that.
