Prices of snacks at the cinema

Doesn't matter how often I go, I don't think I'll never not be shocked at the prices. My friend pointed out today if they charged a little less maybe more people would buy from them. Instead of being a cheapskate like me that brings their own snacks.

My local cinema refused to allow me to pay for my small popcorn using a £50 note - I
had to give them 2 x £20 and 1 x £10

Bloody hell! That IS an expensive popcorn!!!!!

How much popcorn were you buying, @56Beetle???

It's a joke. The first sentence is the set-up. The second is the punchline.

It costs around £11 for two tickets for the film and we take our own snacks.

I agree, the prices are extortionate. If they were only a little bit more then i would buy there for the convenience but ours are 3X the price of the shops. Our vue does do 3 items for £10.99 or 11.99 for large and that includes alcohol so we often get a wine, beer and popcorn which isn't too unreasonable.
