Those saying it’s a nasty thread clearly have not understood the point of the thread! 😂

Or didn't see the thread that the op is referring to which I think has vanished now.

Or just like to accuse people of making nasty threads regardless of understanding what they mean, and not bothering to ask what it is about.

WorraLiberty · 13/11/2019 00:02

Surely the onus is on the thread starter to make it clear what their thread is about though?

Bluerussian · 13/11/2019 00:04

Oh yes, I like Ruth Wilson too; can't say I've ever noticed her philtrum, I'll look more carefully next time I see her on TV (not watching Dark Materials).

I have to say the poster who was on here last week, talking about her long philtrum, didn't appear to have one either. Bless her. We all worry about little things on our bodies that we see as imperfections and they're often nothing much.

littlehappyhippo · 13/11/2019 00:15

WHY was the thread taken down the other day?

It seemed like a fairly innocuous thread!

Anyway! @ilovetofu seems to have started this thread in FAVOUR of the the delectable Ruth Wilson. Look, she has a philtrum that isn't small and SHE looks fab.

I don't see this as a nasty thread at all.

Genevieva · 13/11/2019 00:23

I think she is a superb actress.

On the appearance front, I think she has probably had functional orthodontics that has given her reasonable width, but not corrected her overjet, but that is better than extractions and fixed braces with elastics.

AFairlyHardAvocado · 13/11/2019 00:39

@ilovetofu eh? I don't understand if this post is meant to be positive or negative about Ruth. Either way she's sexy as fuck and has that star quality and chameleon ability that you can't learn IMO, it's inbuilt. But like I say I can't decipher from your OP whether you are being nasty or nice!

Derbee · 13/11/2019 00:45

For goodness sake. People are so dim.

The thread is clearly about this actress being pretty. That’s not nasty or mean.

The original thread was a troll anyway. It was taken down

StCharlotte · 13/11/2019 00:51

She is so elegant. She wears some beautiful outfits in His Dark Materials.

I haven't seen it yet but I caught a trailer and exclaimed "OMG look at that fucking amazing dress!" My MIL on the other end of the phone must have thought I'd gone bonkers...

BrassTactical · 13/11/2019 00:53

My god I didn’t even know what one was and now we have a NEW thing to be worried about Confused

Yes @PositiveVibez exactly.
Couldn't find the thread.

To the rest of you jumping up and down on your indignant high horses,
I'm not criticising her appearance I'm giving an example of someone who looks amazing & is very successful with the same feature.

@WorraLiberty if I read a thread I didn't entirely understand i would ask for clarification. Or probably just not comment.

PreseaCombatir · 13/11/2019 07:56

Is she the one from Luther? Played Alice? If so I’m a fan.

Keepmewarm · 13/11/2019 07:57

I love her. She’s elegant and beautiful.
Can’t get in to the series though!

ilovetofu · 13/11/2019 07:58

@Derbee hmmm why on earth would a troll start a thread like that? What is to be gained? Hmm

OP posts:
ilovetofu · 13/11/2019 07:58

@Keepmewarm have you read the books?

U2HasTheEdge · 13/11/2019 08:10

I don't think she has a long one at all. It is barely noticeable.

Mine is quite pronounced and thankfully it has never bothered me.

U2HasTheEdge · 13/11/2019 08:12

I think it was pretty bloody obvious that the OP was not being horrible to the actress. I never saw the original thread or knew the philtrum was called a philtrum, but I managed to work out that OP was positing a photo of a beautiful lady to make someone feel better.

Bezalelle · 13/11/2019 08:15

long philtrums are supposed to be ageing, there is even surgery to bring your top lip up to shorten it.

What a time to be alive!

ALemonyPea · 13/11/2019 08:15

Weird overreaction from some posters. I got what the Op meant straight away, even without the other thread context.

I have a little crush on Ruth, she is gorgeous, her voice is lovely. Loved her in Luther as well.

CecilyP · 13/11/2019 08:18

Surely the onus is on the thread starter to make it clear what their thread is about though?

Seemed obvious to me even though I didn’t see the original thread.
