AIBU?
To think people who walk along buried in their phone...

...should have all their tech confiscated and made to go and live in a remote Himalayan retreat with no wi-fi?
They're a menace! To themselves and to anyone in their path. This morning, not for the first time, I had to grab the back of someone's coat to stop them from walking out in front of an oncoming car because they were too immersed in their phone screen to notice.
Pull into the side FFS, or at least LOOK UP occasionally.

What really pisses me off are the idiots that walk into me when they are looking at their phone and then looked annoyed rather than have the decency to apologise.
Or the people who walk up stairs at a snails space with a queue of people behind them. I tell them to put the phone down and get moving. It's really sad they need to get a life.

There's been a spate of muggings/phone snatchings here recently; when people are engrossed in their phones it's too easy to not see the guy zooming up on a moped about to snatch it out of your hand. I get that you might need to look at a map from time to time, but don't walk along staring at your phone!

Get a dog. When I walk my dog down the street on the lead, I frequently meet the phone zombies. They might be vaguely aware of me heading in their path, but they usually don't clock the knee-high dog, nor the lead between him and me.... (BTW, no animals were hurt in the making of this comedy)

There’s your first mistake. You need to toughen up, OP.

I've had to drill into my daughter (with the help of some You Tube videos) why it's a bad idea to walk around with your head in your phone.
She now accepts:
- She could embarrass herself by walking into/falling over something (as a teenager this one is currently winning)
2. Someone could mug her because she isn't paying attention (second most important is losing the precious phone that I've made clear will not be replaced if stolen/lost/damaged)
3. She could cause or be involve an accident with something faster and heavier than her, from as minor as a cyclist to major as a HGV
She's also witnessed me refusing to yield to someone walking with their head in their phone and them bouncing off my shoulder. Apparently there might be more people like me out there!

Maybe you need to leave them to get run over preferably by a bus or HGV.
On a more serious note you should grab them and start shouting at them so the entire street can hear.

I someone is using their phone whilst walking and not looking, I take great pleasure in deliberately walking into them
Same as if you have a group of people walking four abreast along a pavement - or any abreast which fills up the whole pavement - ill happily walk through the middle of the group. Single walkers shouldn't have to give way to selfish groups that want to spread out.
Oh - and people who walk the wrong way on stairs which are clearly marked up and down as at many stations.
oops - I think that hit a nerve

Totally agree - someone looking at his phone walked out into the road I was driving along on the way home yesterday. Thankfully I was approaching a junction and so slowing down, but he was totally oblivious until I beeped at him ….. when he gave me a dirty look and proceeded to continue to cross in front of me, still looking at his phone.

This made me lol as I just stepped on someone’s foot with my high heel and the poor girl said sorry to me! I did say it was me but it made me chuckle.
