To think thyme doesn't belong in chocolate?

Dp's friend has brought me my favourite brand of chocolate back from Holland but couldn't read the writing so just picked any. It's thyme and honeycombe. Why?? Obviously I'm soldiering on and eating it but it's just a bit... odd.

AIBU to think thyme has no place in chocolate? Is it actually a thing and I had no idea?

YABU. You can get Tony's caramel sea salt in Sainsbury's now! Just go buy yourself a bar of the actually good tasting one. Wink

It's a bit like the old spaghetti bolognese with coffee thing. I swear people sit in board rooms thinking how they can troll the food buying public.

@WarmSausageTea see thyme in crisps I like because they're savoury and remind me of roast potatoes.

@Confrontayshunme and I do get that in sainos. And the hazelnut one 🤤. But it doesn't stock the full range of flavours so I always like to try different ones when I go to Holland Smile

I'll stick up for the herby chocolate. I love the sound of that!! I'm all about the Rosemary, Thyme, Lavander, Chill are flavours.

@Iamthewombat No I don't think it was that one - how awful though that there is more than variety of rosemary drink! Envy

It was a soft drink with ideas above its station that I found in the meal deal section of Tesco. Maybe rosemary would go with gin????? It definitely didn't with my pasta salad and salt and vinegar crisps!
