Ok, so maybe the writer of this email has a learning disability, but honestly this annoys me so much. In a school circular email?! It's hard enough to get kids to pay attention to grammar and spelling, and then you see stuff like this from the school, and I just want to throw my hands up and ask why do we even bother.

Just ranting here- I have no intention of following up with school and being "that" parent, although the thought did cross my mind.

@FamilyOfAliens totally missed all the points that have been made. Goady and rude.

A couple of weeks ago I received a letter from my son's paediatrician confirming his autism diagnosis. I had waited five weeks for it to arrive. There were grammatical errors, one paragraph didn't make sense and something forgotten was scribbled on in pen.

This really upset us. It had been sent with such little care and attention. The NHS may not have cared about the letter but it was about our child and felt important to us.

@marshmallowss totally misunderstood what the word “goady” means Grin

YANBU. I received a school report card for my son a couple years ago which not only spelt his name incorrectly but was littered with spelling & grammatical errors. I visited the school and showed it to the Headteacher. It really concerned me that a teacher who I expect to be reasonably well educated in the basics was incapable of filling out a standard report card format, and hadn't even taken the time over the term to check how my child's name should be spelt. HT agreed that it was unacceptable...
