New management ruining the office. Move on or stay?

I work in a small office where we have a very close knit relationship. New management was installed by the head office which means we got a new director who brought in his people whom he gave high positions who screw existing people over. I have been offered a new job, higher salary, better company that people in my industry would love to work at, but I will miss the good friends at work so much. The company has now counter offered and money wise it is pretty good but I am so miserable and angry every day especially after seeing they really do treat colleagues I care about badly. They dont treat me personally badly but i just cant stand watching the car crash and people around me getting hurt, lied to, etc. And i have no power to change things. Do I move on or do I stay?

Well done, you’ve made the right decision.

MitziK · 02/11/2019 12:46

Move on - and you will remember those colleagues when they start applying for positions at your new place.

And the arseholes when they decide to jump ship.

HouseworkAvoider10 · 03/11/2019 02:51

Make sure you do leave, for all the reasons above.
The arseholes have rolled in at your job.
Time to bail.

Good For You OP

I am also moving on in the New Year and for similar reasons.

Senior team fairly good at spotting talent but in the case of appointing our branch manager got outwitted by a lazy, billy bullshitter. They then went completely hands off and gave her absolute free rein on who she hired and day to day running. Disaster. Jobs for the Girls. Extremely weak individuals all problematic in different ways and an "I can't be arsed, so I really don't care if you can't be arsed either" culture

Hurrah For January

@VanyaHargreeves good luck to you!

I am getting excited for the new job too :-) Life is too short for shitty jobs.
