To not buy Christmas crackers?

Ok so it's early...chatting amongst friends tonight I said that I was trying to have a 'less shit Christmas'. I didn't mean I wanted to have less fun, but I do think an awful lot of plastic crap is bought which ends in landfill - and Christmas crackers has got to be right up there on the pointless junk list. Am I a Christmas killjoy or is this a no brainer?

I've had After Eight crackers some years which are delic and no plastic toys

I don't know if they'll do them this year again, but they are the only ones I enjoy (childfree)
