Drinking full bottle of gin in one go?

Dh has drank a 70cl bottle of gin tonight. He was incredibly drunk when I found him coming out of the pub (don’t know what else he had there). He’s hiccuping a lot in his sleep and making funny noises, should I stay up and watch him or is this a fairly normal amount when binge drinking? I don’t know if I should be worried or not

I like gin but Jesus a full bottle would have me throwing up for 8 hours straight.

I'd have conked out well before finishing the bottle.

They can vanish without even the complete abstinence from alcohol.

To the poster who said liver disease =/not equals liver problems

You contradicted yourself there when you said which the biggest cause of fatal bleeds among alcoholics are oesophageal varices and then went on to explain how the liver being under strain is what causes them lol.

The causes for oesophageal varices are multi-factorial too I would imagine. Poor diet associated with alcoholism being one.

onioncrumble · 02/11/2019 21:08

Absolute bollocks. There is no other cause.

I'm a sober alcoholic. Even at the end of my drinking, when I was physically dependent on alcohol, I couldn't have drunk a whole bottle of gin in an evening. I'd have passed out well before the bottom of the bottle.

Your DH not only drank a bottle of gin but went to the pub for more. I would be very surprised if he doesn't have a serious booze problem.
