TOILET BRUSH ALTERNATIVE

ok, I know there has been many discussions on this subject. But just wondered if anyone had come up with an idea to replace the dreaded Toilet Brush. I personally hate them. Think they are creepy and vile. I use bleach at the moment. But wondered whether anyone has come across anything specially made for this purpose.

Kind of like a toilet brush in a bottle. Something you can just spray on and it cleans any left over stuff fairly quickly?

This loo brush is much nicer to clean that a bristle type one.

This is what I use, as I too have a serious aversion to traditional toilet brushes. It's been brilliant so far.

@Cyborgseadog Can you clean under the rim with that? Bought a silicone loo brush which is great, but not flexible enough to get under the rim (well it might be if I forced it, but I’m worried about it flicking back into shape, launching a literal shower of !).

ZOMBIE THREAD

But why would people spend £35 on a loo brush (the novauk )😂😂😂😂

I do a squirt of bleach around the rim last thing at night and don't flush. It leaves the toilet very clean. I very much expect anyone who skid marks the bowl (above the water line) to use toilet roll or a wipe to clean it there and then.

Found the Lubeka using ‘Bing’ search. It’s not a brush or one of those rubber ones so no sticky out bits to harbour ‘MATTER’. They are not cheap but they do say “They will probably never need replacing”.

LüBeka
Dear Mums I would like to apologise and thank you.

I am, in fact, the designer of the Lubeka. It’s something that is so new that even its Mother doesn’t quite know if it is a beautiful child or… a letdown to the family.

That’s why I showed it to you. The first people anywhere to see it.

Hearing your comments has been most enlightening. As one of you said it did indeed start as ‘some cooking tongs and a cheap vase’, but the idea worked - the loo brush went in the airing cupboard (to be used only for ‘proper cleaning’)… but it never came out again.

We had ‘proof of concept’. But now needed something that looked good and worked. And as a designer it meant it had to ‘work perfectly’ and look ‘beautiful’.

Much work later…

…We have beauty and we have function… but most importantly… we ‘DON’T’ have a toilet brush!

I have found a way of making it more affordable by ‘splitting the parts’. It’s still not cheap, these are handmade and the quality is as good as it gets so making them is not inexpensive.

Look back at lubeka.uk you’ll see how I’ve taken on your input - “Creative LüBeka” is great.

Thank you

I use a silicone toilet brush. It’s easier to clean properly - no bristles for poo to lurk in.

I tried a toilet brush and found it too uncomfortable so I went back to using toilet paper!
