I would definitely eat it today, or indeed later. But I wouldn't serve it on Christmas Day!

We’ve microwaved and eaten half of it with custard!!! It was scrummy!!!! I’ll message tomorrow to tell you if it’s had any awful effects. 🤪

I could do with that brownie recipe for the other one in the cupboard. I haven’t looked at that date yet! 🥳

Take a slice and fry it in butter until it crisps at the edge and top with whatever you like, cream or good vanilla ice cream in my case......and go straight to heaven 😋

Mine are always years out of date. I buy then in the sale in January and forget them. When I discover I have accumulated about seven I eat them, oldest first and usually in the summer and nowhere near Christmas.

It will be lovely.

We’ve survived so will eat the second half tonight. 👍🏻

Adds name to list of vintage Christmas pudding keepers.

I have 2 small Christmas puddings of unknown age (estimate 5-10 years old but I CBA to go and look).

I don't know why I bought them or why we keep them, because neither of us like Christmas pudding. Just seems a shame to throw them away and obviously the foodbank doesn't accept out of date food.

There's also a home made Christmas cake that's probably either 3 or 4 years old that I keep meaning to get out and eat but haven't got round to. That I do like, so need to make a point of eating it this year.

Throw glitter over it and hang it from your Christmas tree BarbaraofSeville. 😂

I ate a four year old aldi everyday essential ones of that vintage...

I've looked now. One is BBE January 2009, the other February 2013. Sainsburys and M&S posh ranges respectively.

Almost certainly bought for pence from the reduced counter after Christmas, because I can't resist a bargain, even if it's on something that neither of us like Blush.

Quite small, the size that you'd serve to an individual that really liked Christmas pudding, or share between a family of 4 where no-one really likes it but feels obliged to have some, with it being Christmas and all.

I'd offer to post them out to the Christmas pudding lovers amongst you, but it would cost far more than I paid for them in the first place, and also more than it would cost you to buy fresh ones from the abundance that's in the shops at the moment.

An update for those interested. I’m still alive!!! 😂

Of course you are. I always eat the mouldy part on cheese and put it down to the fact that I have been so lucky with my health. My children are NOT convinced!
