To think the December 2019 election will come down to whether the North/midlands votes Tory or not?

So as a self proclaimed geek, I love elections and what could happen in them.

Whilst the media seem to be pushing the idea of Boris winning a majority I cant help but wonder where exactly that is going to happen.

First of all, seats such as Putney and Richmond are going to be difficult for Tories to hold on to given the anti brexit feeling in these areas. Wealthy areas that no longer view the Tories as serving their economic interests. Lets say 20 of these seats are in this category in London and the home counties.

Secondly, the Tories will lose the 5 Scottish seats they currently hold, how are they going to do so without Ruth Davidson who almost singlehandedly revived the Tory presence in Scotland.

Id be interested to know what seats the Tories think they can win in that they dont already hold. I presume the strategy is to focus on the North?

If the wealthy living in your 'wealthy areas' have an ounce of intelligence they'll vote conservative. If Corbyn gets in they're screwed.

It's always the same.

A few key marginals.

No wonder people get pissed off with the electoral system - they feel their voice isn't heard and it gets taken for granted.

I agree OP. Wealthy in the areas you mentioned will vote LibDem.( I predict London will also vote a LibDem mayor in - a lot has been said about how remain Scotland is, but how remain London is doesn't get mentioned enough)

Tories are going after traditional Labour seats in the North where they can peddle their Brexit propaganda because they think those people are thick.
