So, finally I am moving to the UK, everything is set up but.... does anyone know how strict they are in Holyhead about dogs. I have the pet passport for the dog, all stamped by the vet etc, but the rabies vaccination is supposed to be 21 days in advance and it will only be 7 days. will they mind. will they check. apparently it's just because of brexit - normally pets can travel between uk and ireland without rabies vaccination. has anyone done it recently. (ferry company doesnt seem to accept that brexit hasnt happened yet...)

They might, yes and if they do it could be pretty expensive and upsetting.

Stick dog in kennels or iwth a dog minder and go back for dog when the dates are correct.

They could be strict just because of the Brexit thing but I’ve brought my dog between the two countries several times and never once been checked even though we always have a valid passport for him. I mean never actually been asked for it let alone the dates so there’s a chance it’d be fine as there’s no rabies in either country. But if it wasn’t.... I’m not sure if they wouldn’t quarantine. Last time I travelled though was January last year and nobody even glanced at the dog. I’m not sure I would risk it if someone could hold onto your dog for you or if you could delay your trip slightly,
