I have one week of work. I'm not going on holiday because I have no money.

However...

I am NOT going to spend the week on the sofa in my PJs, surfing Mumsnet and endlessly refreshing threads on FWR, AIBU and Relationships, whilst occasionally calling out for pizza and sushi.

No I am not.

I'm going to get up, get dressed and spend the week on noble pursuits: cycling, reading those papery things called books, learning another language, painting the flat, productive things.

So, farewell my beautiful MNers. Please don't have any newsworthy crises or classic-making threads whilst I'm gone. No new words, no new cancelling the cheques, no new ways to describe a vulva. Please be boring in my absence.

I love you. I miss you already and I will see you this time next week.

Only another 5 hours and you'll be 24 hours post flounce. Hang on though, is that 6 hours with the clocks going back or 4 hours?

I’m back!!!!!!

Ok so I had a wonderful time. Of course I didn’t do any healthy things like cycling or getting my flat in order. But I did go down a YouTube spiral of philosophy videos and I now know all about logical fallacies and I did do lots of language learning which was very comforting.
I drank lots of coffee with various people, went to London, danced. Fuck housework and cycling and all that stuff. It only shortens your life.

But most of all, I missed you beautiful peeps. My thumbs hovered over the ActiveNow button but I stayed strong. Strong I tell you!!!

Oh it’s so nice to be home. I’m gonna ease myself in gently with some Relationships then tomorrow I’ll be ready for AIBU.
