Slugs in the conservatory AIBU

We live in a rented property (we are also landlords of our old family home which we rent out in another town, so we can live in this town close to family) and the conservatory has so many slugs in it every morning, I’m talking 6-8 slugs removed every morning, the rugs and kids toys are covered in slug trails and it’s a bit grim.

We use the room as a play room for our 3 little toddlers and it’s not ideal having to search for slugs and clean every morning before we play (the babies try and eat them 🙈) and toddler is terrified.

The letting agents have just said that’s life with a conservatory and to get on with it. We don’t have a conservatory on the house that we own and rent out, but if we did I would not be ok with the tenants putting up with slugs crawling all over their things.

AIBU to want to looked into and sorted? Can it ever be sorted?

Any opinions/advice welcomed.

Thank you very much

We also get the odd couple in our kitchen and conservatory but certainly not that amount per day

I had this, now use slug pellets on the outside of the house and it's really solved it. Not nice but I was really sick of it.

ooh slugs. I found a few cosily nestled in the dirt collector of my roller sweeper - yes I had neglected to empty out the collector thingy for a while.

I got some slug tape at Aldi last year which sorted the issue for us with no messy salt or risky pellets (pets and young children).

I had a lot of slugs in my kitchen every summer. Then this year I allowed my neighbour’s ducks and chickens to roam around my garden for a little bit everyday and that was the end of my slug problem. So I’d start by trying to kill them outside the house. Beer traps are supposed to work well.
