To think you can drink from a bathroom tap?

Help me settle a long-standing debate in my household.

My dh thinks that you can't drink water from the bathroom tap and only a kitchen tap.

I think he's daft as a brush and it all comes from the same source. It's totally fine to drink.

We've recently had a combi boiler fitted but before that had a tank for upstairs. Didn't even occur to me that the water wouldn't be okay to drink but makes total sense really!

All comes through the same pipes. No reason not to.

It might come through the same pipes but it could be going from those pipes into a tank in the attic with the rotting carcass of a dead rat floating in it before it gets to the tap.

It's worth checking.

We've always drunk from upstairs (tank fed) tap without problems.

tbh, I have had lots of water from supposed unsafe sources (like at work). Still can't see that it ever caused a problem.

We had a problem with limescale clogging up the shower at home, so I've fished around in our tank a few times to make sure no sediment; it's not remotely green or horrible. The water is renewed constantly between flushes & showers.
