My CF was before even 9 am this morning! A dm at local school approached me waving a school letter. Could see it was recent after school club registration form. She had hand written a few lines at the bottom in red..
Apparently in September- when school started- they informed us they wanted ideas for after school clubs, to commence after October half term. All good.
This dm had written to the school requesting no club on x day for her dc's class as her dc would have to miss it due to an out of school activity..
And guess what?
School have offered her dc after school option on x day!
She was going back in with the form and her reminder on the bottom in red they weren't supposed to do this!!
Entitled CF or what?.
I thought she was being sarcastic at first. But deadly serious. Big flounce off into the office no less!

It would only take five parents to do this for diff days of the week ... some people con themselves into believing anyone could give more than zero flying fucks about them. I can only imagine the hilarity this would have caused in the staff room.

Not today but yesterday previous owner of house turned up at my door looking for his wife , thought that she was using my loo they were around for a hospital appointment in nearby town . She was at a neighbours . I locked every door after and hid short while later the wife rang I didn't answer . This is the third time they've come back .

slipperywhensparticus · 24/10/2019 20:46

They come back to your house to visit? Burn sage they need exorcising

thebear1 · 24/10/2019 20:47

Just the usual CF parking witnessed on the school run.

BornInAThunderstorm · 24/10/2019 20:48

@Member984815 Shock they come back?!

CatsOnCatnip · 24/10/2019 20:51

@Member984815 I think we need to hear the other instances they thought that was appropriate. Wow! Shock

timshelthechoice · 24/10/2019 20:53

FFS, Member, just speak to them through the door. 'I'm not interested in allowing you in, you no longer own this house.'

StephenQueenBooks · 24/10/2019 20:55

Customer in work asked to take both items home for a few weeks before deciding which one to keep and phoning us to collect the one they don't want and pay for the other.

That was a hard no from me.

WindFlower92 · 24/10/2019 20:58

Watching this thread, love a CF!

Took my 3 year old into costa this morning to kill some time. Sat her at a table with her book whilst I queued up, close to me so I could still talk to her. First CF came and asked me to move with her as he wanted the window seat with more light. Err no mate, we don't want to sit in the dark. Second CF sat down at the table with her, I said excuse me we are sitting there and she looked at me and said "people usually leave something on the chair to indicate it's taken!" I asked if the small child and book were sufficient! Pissed me off that a mum and toddler were considered not as entitled to a table as these CFers. I bought cakes and hot chocolates so was spending the same as them. I sat there a lot longer than I planned to, just to piss them off!

CinnamonMentos · 24/10/2019 21:25

School run mum (dc in reception, only started this sept so don’t know her well at all) been taking a few times about how expensive breakfast club is for her son. She must have seen where I live as she’s hinted a few times she’d like me to bring in her ds. I’ve been ignoring her. Today she corners me and outright asks me if she can leave her son with me so I can take him in twice a week. All so she doesn’t have to spend £6 on two days breakfast club. When I said no, I also work and have 3 dc, she actually demanded to know where I worked as if she didn’t believe me. Lunatic!

Ummmmcake · 24/10/2019 22:23

My boss will comment if we are five minutes late or leave five minutes early but will often take a two hours lunch break. It is supposed to be 30 minutes long.

woodhill · 24/10/2019 22:27

Watching too

HandsOffMyRights · 24/10/2019 22:31

Somebody parking across my drive at school pick up just as I was waiting for my dad to arrive.

Span1elsRock · 24/10/2019 22:35

We're manically busy at work, and have got a horrendous workload to get through before Christmas. To the point that there is a general air of panic most days, especially from my idiot husband who promised the clients that we'd be able to do it Hmm

So you can imagine how it went down when one employee has had 2 days off this week...... because their spouse has got a rash. Apparently A & E were very rude to them on each of the 3 times they tried to go in Hmm ........ and they've now asked if they can have Friday afternoon off as well to see their GP with them. 2.5 very precious working days for A FUCKING RASH.

watermelon21 · 24/10/2019 22:36

@ChickenPieBumFace wouldn’t dare sit on a table with a child on it already, some strange people about 😂

Gustavo1 · 24/10/2019 22:37

"people usually leave something on the chair to indicate it's taken!" I asked if the small child and book were sufficient!

This is bonkers. Pure and simple. Some people are not on this planet are they??!!

DarkLikeVader · 24/10/2019 22:42

Perhaps it’s a Costa thing @ChickenPieBumFace - when I was in there with a 2 and 7 year old they were chatting excitedly about getting the window seat while we were being served - and a 60+ lady several places behind us in the queue overhead - she dropped out of the queue to quickly ‘bagsy’ the table they were talking about with her stuff Shock

MaitlandGirl · 24/10/2019 22:48

The people 2 houses down complained about me shouting at DS yesterday (he was mowing the lawn and I needed him) - apparently their precious child was trying to sleep.

I absolutely lost my shit. Mowing the lawn at 6pm is rude and inconsiderate yet raging parties and drunken doughnuts in the back garden at 3am is ok??!! We have triple glazing, there is another house between us (and about 100m) and our bedroom is on the opposite side of the house yet we can hear every damn word of every song.

I caused such a scene in the street that 5 other sets of neighbours came out to see what was going on. CF neighbour wasn’t impressed when every joined in having a go at her.

GoBackToPartyCity · 24/10/2019 22:49

I sold a work colleague some toys for £20 about 2 weeks ago. My husband dropped them off and presumed she had paid me at work because she didn’t give him the money. Sadly not! I’ve seen her about 4 times since at work and twice she’s told me that she knows she owes me the money, but she just doesn’t pay me! It’s getting so awkward now but I’m not letting the CF get away with it!

42andcounting · 24/10/2019 23:25

Took my just turned 6yo DD for a half term day out this week to a large city museum. She's getting to the age where she wants to be a bit more independent so after we'd eaten our lunch in the cafe, while I was sitting at the table finishing my drink I let her queue up and buy crisps "all on her own" for the first time ever - all of about three feet away from me Grin. She queued beautifully, ten just as she got to the front to be served, she was half way through handing over the crisps and money, some impatient pensioner behind her physically shoves her out of the way in his rush to hand over his discount coffee card. He was really put out when I steamed over and said "She has queued up really politely, can you not just let her have her turn?!?" Cheeky swine.

Northernsoulgirl45 · 25/10/2019 00:05

Not today but op you reminded me.
Primary School advised us that they were having to change date of school production.
Turns out some of the children didn't want to miss a Christmas Party for a club they go to. They had starring roles on the production and one of them had a parent who worked at the school.
Round about the same time dd1 had her swimming lesson day changed because it wasn't convenient for other parents.
Two definate wtf moments in one week.

Member984815 · 25/10/2019 07:14

The first time they came , was a Saturday morn , I got up to feed the dog and was heading back to bed , when I heard a car , then my kids said there were 2 people outside , i then woke my husband sent him down the woman actually came in and used toilet , sat at table bit of chit chat , they had a container left that they we're getting lifted , but there was no need for them to come . They had left loads of rubbish in the sheds I had to hire a skip , among this a dog bed , I got a message asking if she could have it back like a fool I said yes , she turned up out of the blue one day and asked for it , then wanted to take cuttings of the flowers . I said grand , thought I'd never see them again . Then this .

PookieDo · 25/10/2019 07:18

Previous tenant ordered Halloween costumes for his kids online and it was sent to my address where they have not lived for a year. Sure enough I get a knock from NDN 3 hours later asking for the parcel. I was fuming, I am not their personal delivery service and if they actually spent any time bothering to change any of their addresses with the bank I would not still be getting all of their mail and now parcels. I had a fucking court order the other month, I was very clear to NDN that they are to change addresses and I will not be handing anything over again
