I’ve seen pillows/snore-rings and nasal strips and just wondered if anyone had tried and tested/could recommend anything that actually made a difference?

No, just separate bedrooms or earplugs. Sorry.

MsCupcake · 21/10/2019 23:01

CPAP, changed my life!

AppropriateAdult · 21/10/2019 23:02

The nasal strips (Breathe-Right) have made a huge difference to my husband’s snoring. They’re expensive, but we wouldn’t be without them now.

Snore zee mouth guard. Fairly uncomfortable but bloody works!

OneShotLattePlease · 21/10/2019 23:03

Snore EZE

DH has a thick memory foam pillow which really reduces it, as long as he’s sleeping on his side.

Most of the time though he’s in the spare room. Not ideal but I definitely feel less murderous towards him 😂

Beamur · 21/10/2019 23:05

Not having the cat sleep with me (which I miss!)
Sticky strips help if used occasionally.
Fresh air (don't snore when camping)
I think losing some weight would help.
I am also much worse if I have a cold.

PrincessConsuelaTheSecond · 21/10/2019 23:05

DH won’t use snore strips.

He will use throat spray but it only works for about an hour.

Propping up on pillows helps. Otherwise he’s in the spare room.

Ear plugs on holiday are a must because without a spare room I’d smother him and enough alcohol to knock me out

Beamur · 21/10/2019 23:06

I have to sleep on my side. Snore badly if on my back.

AlunWynsKnee · 21/10/2019 23:09

DH has a mouth guard that works brilliantly for us. We were on the verge of separate rooms until he got this.

Gillian1980 · 21/10/2019 23:12

I saw gp and tried various things (strips, pillows, spray, mouth guard)
Then got diagnosed with sleep apnoea and wear a cpap machine. Magic!

WhenISnappedAndFarted · 21/10/2019 23:12

Earplugs don't work for me, the only thing that's ever worked is separate bedrooms.

DramaAlpaca · 21/10/2019 23:19

Earplugs for me, Breathe-Right nose strips for him. But mostly it's separate bedrooms, unfortunately.

Bellasblankexpression · 22/10/2019 06:48

Thank you! It’s actually for me Blush I’m 28 weeks pregnant and have suddenly become a mega snorer to the point where I’m waking myself up!

Jab in the ribs until he turns over is pretty effective. 😂

User12879923378 · 22/10/2019 07:28

Give him ear plugs or permission to sleep elsewhere!

Bellasblankexpression · 22/10/2019 16:35

Ha as it’s for me, jabbing myself in the ribs might be tricky Grin
