Sorry to ask. But I am spending about 500 pounds per month on groceries and I don't even manage packed lunch for the kids or me! It's only me, and two primary school age DC.
Can anyone help me plan my time and shopping list and meals?!

Exh and i split the week which actually seems to make it harder for me to plan meals than easier, I don't know why.

I always have them on a Mon and Tues, he always has them on a weds and Thurs and then we do eow.

Any suggestions gratefully received

I managed to do a shop (minus eggs) for £22.07 on Thursday Shock and I’m pretty sure that’s down to me adding the ‘inventory’ step in on a Wednesday night. For some reason, if I don’t write down what we’ve got I , I end up buying peppers every time I go!

I meal plan for evening meals but make sure I’ve got stuff in for lunches too. So this week -

Thursday - DP was out and Child had been given mcDs for lunch, so I gave C a ‘picky tea’ of carrot sticks, sweetcorn, cheese and ham on toast then I had cheese and ham quesadillas.
Friday - sweet potato, beans and cheese and a few sides like chopped peppers and baby sweetcorn.
Saturday - I’ll do leek and potato soup with toast and cheese
Sunday - oven baked cod with roast potatoes and veg
Monday - veggie curry
Tuesday - spinach and squash rotolo, a new recipe that I saw in a Jamie Oliver book
Wednesday - frittata
