I’ve left the gas oven on twice before. Once when there was no food in just forgotten to turn the oven off & another time I had put a garlic baguette in as dd (14) wanted some to with a pizza so I whipped it in, said she could have it after her pizza if she really fancied some. Anyway we had our pizza & I had a really bad headache so I ran myself a bath & got in. It wasn’t until I had got out, dried myself, got my pj’s on & went down stairs & looked at the oven, thinking i’d Left it on again, that I remembered a garlic baguette was in there! There was no smoke, just a long very back and burnt garlic baguette! Funnily enough, dd (yep she forgot too) didn’t fancy any! I now double check twice about turning the oven off!

Oh no!
4m and 17m old kids here...
I cried yesterday because I 'realised' while driving that I'd left the buggy and changing bag in the market square. I hadn't. It was in the boot. I just hadn't remembered that I put it in the boot.

Having some down-time today to reboot.

The evening I went into labour I accidentally left the gas hob on. It wasnt lit but the whole kitchen was completely filled with gas by the time I came out of the bath at 10pm! I opened the window and never told OH about my possibly understandable incompetence.

Still a secret to this day and DS is now 2years and 4months 🤫
