I don't understand why people post photos esp of their kids on social media everyday. Makes me wonder if they are a bit lonely. Don't know if aibu?

YANBU and I came off FB a couple of years ago because it dawned on me that I was wasting my precious time looking at pictures of other people's roast dinners, frothy coffees in Costa, just everyday ordinary and banal events, that we all do daily, and that aren't very interesting or need to be shared with the world. If it's irritating for you I highly recommend coming off.

At least you could see the actual coffee which I suppose is at least slightly aesthetically pleasing. I know someone who once excitedly posted a picture of their morning coffee - in a Costa takeaway cup Confused not them with the coffee, just her hand holding that cup... her posts became even more banal after she had a baby. I thought after I had my own I would find that kind of thing more interesting but I really don’t. She’s been unfollowed.
