To ask for a 50% payrise

I've been at my entry level job since February knowing that there was room for growth and I was joining the company not the job so to speak. I've spoken to my boss about it and he's agreed that I'll be going to this new role once I get back from maternity leave. The job spec is very similar to the one in the screenshot . As you can see the salary is £50-70k. Previous role (before I was made redundant was £50k). Locally salaries don't go as high as London and I think a similar role over here would pay around £35k.

My current salary is £18k but will ask for £27k. AIBU for asking for such a high payrise?

You’ve been there only 8 months, spent however long on maternity leave and want a 50% pay rise. I love your audacity but I do think yabu

@Ravingstarfish I understand where you're coming from but they're more or less "rehiring" me for a much higher responsibility role, one that I'm fully qualified/experienced for it.

Why is this even a question?! Of course YANBU! Ask for what the role at that level pays and not a penny less! Otherwise you'll be gone in a year when a better opportunity comes along.

Viviene yes and now. Jobs in my field are very hard to find where I live. In 12 months I found about 4-6 jobs. I went to interview stage in most of them but all of them needed me to "transfer skills" and the reason why I didn't get any of them.

I think being employ pits me.in a better position to find another job,.but even then I think I'd struggle to.fomd.one that pays above £25k as quite simply my skills are not needed in the local economy.
