Urgent - no fault accident

Hi, I’ve been in a no-fault accident recently. The other party gave their details etc and owned up. Insurers have been notified and my car is waiting to be collected for repairs. I got a call from the other insurers saying they can arrange for repairs with a 5yr warranty and will provide a courtesy car. I told them my insurer is already arranging this, but they say it’s quicker and easier to go with them. Is this normal? What’s the best thing to do?

I would check with your insurance provider what they recommend.

Speak to your own insurers and go with whatever they say.

I’ve just spoken to my insurers. They say third parties do this as they want to manage their costs. I think I’ll just stick with my insurers. The other party obviously has no incentive in doing a good job. I’m not their customer.

I don't see any reason why they would deliberately do a bad job. They're just normal mechanics, no matter who pays them.
