To give the ward nurses a box of chocolate?

I spent nearly a week in hospital after birth complications.

The nurses were incredible. Absolutely incredible. I have a renewed respect and admiration of what they do.

I would love to give a huge box of chocolates to say thank you but is that acceptable? Are there any rules that say they can’t accept for any reason?

I did a card, hand cream, cordial, tea, coffee, biscuits, sweets, cakes and chocolate. They were amazing after my op and I wanted to say thanks

I work in maternity and chocs etc are very much appreciated! Sometimes you don't get a break for a very long time so pocketing a couple of goodies as you pass the desk sees you through.
Cards are wonderful. It's lovely when someone tells you that you made a difference to them, and it makes the relentlessness of the job worthwhile.

Im a nurse and we get boxes of choca fairly often. The best thing we've ever been given was a massive fruit hamper. It went down so well.

I gave the staff a big hamper with tea, coffee, sugar, squash, cans of pop, cereal/ energy bars, biscuits, flavoured rice cakes, yoghurts, mini cheeses etc
I know how busy they are so bought a load of 'snacky bits' that they could grab on the go

I wrote glowing feedback and gave a big box of celebrations when I had my oldest. Unfortunately the same wasn't warranted when I had my youngest!

My mum was a nurse for over 50 years. I vividly remember when she invited her colleagues for dinner and they moaned for a good hour about how the tea, coffee and biscuits were always looked away by their manager. I couldn't believe how awful that was given most worked way longer than their 12-hour shifts.

Long way of saying please buy them whatever you can afford. It will be appreciated. x
