To wonder if you have weird things you can't explain in your house?

Ours is that the walls are full of plastered over screws.
I don't understand it, every so often filler falls out and a screw head becomes exposed. They are everywhere though, many of them and at weird levels.

Seriously who screws at least fifty screws into the wall at all heights in multiple rooms and then fills over them and why?!

We had a handprint appear at the top of the stairs, looked like it was made of coal but no amount of scrubbing cleaning or carpet cleaner would remove it. It was about the size of a toddlers hand, no kids in the house at the time and vanished again overnight about 3 years later.

Idontwanttotalk yes someone has said above that is what it probably is. I didn't even think of that at all as I have never seen it before in any of the houses we have lived in! It is only on one wall but in two rooms.

How weird, we've rented for 15 years and never been unable to use the loft. Thanks for the answer, bit sad it's nothing more exciting though 😁

I used to have 2 spotlights which were recessed in a canopy over a large mirror above the bathroom sink. The lights were wired so that they came on when the main bathroom light came on. One day it went a little darker while I was stood at the washbasin and I noticed that one spotlight was off. I assumed the bulb had gone. Suddenly it came back on and then went off again. Jokingly I then said out loud to my late father "If that's you, dad, do it again to prove it". Nothing happened at first. I then got on with my wash and suddenly each spotlight flashed on then off alternately a few times.

About a week later when I went to my local spiritualist church a Medium asked me if I had noticed anything happening to lights in my house. I said I had and she told me it was my dad letting me know he was around. She then went on to tell me he'd seen me put my foot in a tin of paint and was laughing about it. I had done exactly that only a week or so before. Shock

I am a tad disappointed that my wall screws are just boring plaster board screws though. Cant believe I didn't think of that Blush what an idiot.
I've been imagining all types of weird installations [idiot] 😂

Op most plasterboard is screwed in then plastered over!
