To not eat labour curry?

cockcrowfarm · 10/10/2019 06:22

So, like a comedy stereotype i ate a spicy curry which gave me cramps that turned out to be labour on week 39. I still have the curry in the freezer but have been quite reluctant to eat it! AIBU?

So not to drip feed: vegetable thai green curry, i froze it the next morning before leaving for hospital, curry is now two months old.

I don’t understand. What’s your concern?

Atalune · 10/10/2019 06:24

Don’t eat it.

rockingaroundthemulberrybush · 10/10/2019 06:24

Its not going to make you have another baby?

OlderthenYoungerNow · 10/10/2019 06:27

What are you talking about?

RiddleyW · 10/10/2019 06:27

Are you worried it’ll bring in another labour?

TottieandMarchpane · 10/10/2019 06:27

I suppose you could keep it and use it as the baby’s christening cake? Or 18th birthday cake if you’re feeling ambitious.

captainprincess · 10/10/2019 06:28

Unless you are on the breadline, no, don't force yourself to eat a 2 month old curry.
Though, is that even what you're asking?!

cockcrowfarm · 10/10/2019 06:30

Of course im not worried about having another labour although it would be quite nice to squeeze out a secret hidden twin Grin

2 months in the freezer isn't old.

cockcrowfarm · 10/10/2019 06:32

I love green curry but feel put off by this one... i think I'll throw it out

boringisasboringdoes · 10/10/2019 06:32

Bin it

PonteLaCorona · 10/10/2019 06:32

It is in the freezer, what is the problem?
I'd eat it.

TottieandMarchpane · 10/10/2019 06:32

You’re two months post-party’s and you think it would be “quite nice” to “squeeze out” another one already? ConfusedShock

TottieandMarchpane · 10/10/2019 06:32

^post-partum

cockcrowfarm · 10/10/2019 06:35

I'd love another baby!

FredaFrogspawn · 10/10/2019 06:38

My secret twin is still hidden. She seems to grow a bit every year though... Blush

cockcrowfarm · 10/10/2019 06:39

Do you want to share my green labour curry Grin

OP posts:
cantfindname · 10/10/2019 06:40

If you don't want it then just chuck it out. It doesn't really need the combined intelligence of Mumsnet to tell you that.

FredaFrogspawn · 10/10/2019 06:43

The title ‘Labour Curry’ makes me shy to share. Reminds me too much of those mums who ask for their placenta to get the hormones back in their body again...

NoSauce · 10/10/2019 06:44

Why did you ask MN this OP?

Genuinely asking. It seems there’s more and more posters asking the most banal questions, it’s baffling.

Yestermo · 10/10/2019 06:45

Post party. 😂

TottieandMarchpane · 10/10/2019 06:46
Grin
cockcrowfarm · 10/10/2019 06:48

I asked because i cant decide whether to throw it or not and i guess because I'm bored as not used to being home and alone all day.

Mary1935 · 10/10/2019 06:49

Put it on eBay - someone May pay a high price to induce their labour😁

FuriousVexation · 10/10/2019 07:00

I also thought this was going to be about placenta!

If you want to eat it, eat it. If not, don't. I really do hate food waste but in this case I'll give you a pass.

Also if it's very spicy would that come through in breast milk? (Have never BF so I have no experience of this - just going off the way that human bodies pee, poo, and sweat out any highly flavourful foods.)
