This is so transparent it’s hardly worth doing. Whatever the story that’s been squashed will find its way out.

I loved the doll’s House too, was a favourite book for years. Was marchpane the mean one? Very vicious as I recall

Meercatsarecats · 09/10/2019 23:44

She's also got the fact she's never had to work a day in her life, or worry about money on her side.
I'm sure I would still look fab if I didn't have real life niggles like who is going to pay the bills or pick the kids up from school when I need to be in a meeting getting me down and stressing me out.
Access to the best quality diet and endless time to exercise, be creative or just sleep when you need to must be quite nice too.

Meercatsarecats · 09/10/2019 23:50

And i agree with you op, this is definitely subversion.
That piece last week about him going there to break off the friendship is utter bollocks.
Nobody does that.
He's in deep and Fergies facelifts is not enough of a distraction. Do they really think we are that stupid.
I've been wondering today with all the coverage about two wags having an online spat what the real news is.
Cynical? You betcha

HighNetGirth · 10/10/2019 02:25

Funny, an article published after Epstein’s arrest quoted an unnamed Andrew ‘friend’ as saying people were horrified when the friendship resumed after Epstein’s release from prison but Andrew insisted he was loyal to his friends. It may even have been an article in the DM.

TabithasMumCaroline · 10/10/2019 02:33

Have they not published the entire Epstein saga already? Chip paper here. Not exactly a scoop? There can’t be anything that hasn’t already been published, surely? The North American press don’t give a toss about British press gagging orders. It’s hard to actually spot the truth in all the fiction sometimes.

Bit of a silly story. i've always quite liked Fergie (she speaks well of me too hee hee), but quite honestly she doesn't wear that well apart from her hair. I hate saying things like that but it's a fact, I'd never have dreamed she'd had a face lift, she's quite wrinkled. I'm not being a bitch (I'm roughly ten years older than her), just stating what I think is obvious. To me she looks care worn.

BadSun · 10/10/2019 03:10

Anyway, PP is right, we should all read the opposing side regularly

Why? To keep informed of celebrity plastic surgery habits?

JoObrien7 · 10/10/2019 03:16

@TottieandMarchpane

Has Fergie used Botox? Because if she has it hasn't worked. I am similar and have no intention of using Botox fillers or anything else like that. I do however use factor 50 on my face and a good night cream and daily moisturizing cream. A dermatologist once told me to stay out the sun and use moisturizing cream which doesn't have to be expensive. I use coco butter on my body and clarins on my face. However no matter how much hand cream I use my hand are still a bit wrinkley I blame gardening and housework for that and not wearing rubber gloves

Gingerkittykat · 10/10/2019 03:47

There will be endless stories about Beatrice over the next few months, I expect Eugenie will reproduce soon and it's amazing how many Fergie mentions there have been lately.

I don't think it will help Andrew's reputation, I think the public know exactly what type of man he is and won't let go.

Sobeyondthehills · 10/10/2019 04:34

Maybe Fergie is just cashing in on the fact her family are in the newspapers again

my view is cynical

BlackCatSleeping · 10/10/2019 05:22

I’m not sure this is about Andrew as they’ve published loads about him recently. I expect Fergie is just cashing in in the run up to the wedding. She has to make her money somehow.

TottieandMarchpane · 10/10/2019 05:57

It’s definitely a quid pro quo for killing a story. It reeks of it.

If it’s not to do with Andrew, then the Mail have uncovered some unsavoury detail re Beatrice, her chap and his ex-fiancé.

@JoObrien7 do you do the thing of using whatever goes on your face on your hands too? I’m in my forties and just starting to wonder what to do about hands. Maybe it’s just pointless to worry?

BlackCatSleeping · 10/10/2019 06:38

It’s not really that big a story though. I suspect the DM uses cookies to individualize the top story. Mine changes a lot throughout the day.

TottieandMarchpane · 10/10/2019 06:39

It’s not really that big a story though.

Exactly. That’s why it smells so fishy.

I'm mid 40s and have never used moisturiser or any of that crap. I get asked for ID when buying booze at least once a year. I strongly suspect that unless you have a genuine problem with dry skin, the whole industry is a crock of shit and that most women will develop wrinkles (or not) based on genetics.

I use Vaseline body lotion on my hands if they feel dry, which is usually after washing them while I'm not at home, where I always buy a hand soap which includes moisturiser (such as Carex etc.) I also put the lotion on my legs and feet about once a week (hahaha I sound like Buffalo Bill - "It puts the lotion on its skin") but all of that is about how I feel, not how I worry about looking to other people.

TottieandMarchpane · 10/10/2019 06:43

but all of that is about how I feel, not how I worry about looking to other people.

I think that’s probably why my hands annoy me a bit and my face doesn’t. I never look in the mirror, really, but I see my hands all day long.

If you look like Fergie after the full intrusive works, the whole industry is obviously a con, I’m thinking.
