I'm currently taping the top 40 singles chart on radio one and have just remembered to turn the cassette tape round at the right time! After the number one song I'm going to the newsagents to buy the latest copy of Smash Hits!! 👌

I’ve been to visit my daughters who flatshare. I brought them an early dinner of McDonald’s, we hung out, chatted and watched some telly.

Now I’m chilling and MNing, my OH is making pasta with aubergine and tomato for dinner and later I will make figs baked with honey and star anise, to serve with orange mascarpone and roasted pistachio.

I’ve lit our lovely big candle (fig fragrance, coincidentally!) and we’re enjoying the instant cosiness and autumn ambience it brings. In a minute I’ll pour us each a glass of wine.

Happy Sunday evening, all!

Recovering from something of a hangover after a friend came round and we set the world to rights last night, recovering from a workout, making tomato sauce, and about to get a lazy takeout!

Weekly shop done early at Tesco by 9am. working for most of the day. OH cooking.
Taken mother to church and back, DS sleeping late, DD working.

BishopFrownofStThigh · 06/10/2019 19:15

speakout is that a little tesco extra?

I was about to Google ours to see if it's open.

BishopFrownofStThigh · 06/10/2019 19:17

Aside from that woke up after catnap just now and extremely groggy, you know when you feel like you've been drugged? Cup of tea required

applecatchers36 · 06/10/2019 19:17

Afternoon at friends kids 1st birthday party, now home. DH just cooked cottage pie, have bathed kids and put baby to bed. Now mnetting while DH puts older kids to bed.

TheFairyCaravan · 06/10/2019 19:20

Me and DH have made green tomato chutney. I've had my nails done. I've done the laundry, and ironed it. He's washed both the cars. We cooked a curry for tea.

Now we're knackered in front of the tele

Had a lie-in while listening to The Archers, went for a run, had a shower, did the food shop with DP and then we cooked a roast together. Not a massively exciting Sunday but we've had a really busy few days so it's actually been quite nice to do very little.

MrsMonkeyBear · 06/10/2019 19:22

Snuggled up on the couch with my dds, watching the strictly results.

Both of them have been rather poorly this week, especially DD2, who went to A&E twice with croup.

We had a freezer picnic for dinner and frozen watermelon for dessert. Followed by hot chocolate and marshmallows.

On a train traveling back from watching a half marathon in Cardiff in which my daughter and my good friend competed
Enjoying a plastic cup of warm rose while I revel in their success Smile

LadyOfTheCanyon · 06/10/2019 19:26

Got up late, made Brunch from a Jamie Oliver recipe, did a lay of laundry and then spent the afternoon starting to sew Christmas presents.

Having a spot of dinner then I'm going to get back to doing some Tarot readings for another thread I'm on!

I'm at a uni residential. I don't know anyone and I'm feeling like I'm right back at school on the first day. The seminar is tomorrow so hopefully I will get to know people there!

Mikeymoo12 · 06/10/2019 20:08
