To think social media might help solve this mystery?

I'm not hugely into social media, so wondering if someone can suggest how it, or anything else might be useful in this scenario. I sent some family photos from the UK to a relative in Switzerland and the little Customs form I completed at the Post Office clearly stated that the envelope contained photos. Fast forward to my relative opening the same envelope in Switzerland, and she was mystified to find not only our family photos inside, but ANOTHER family's as well! She's now sent them back to me with the envelope I used, and it looks as though it has been opened and resealed before she received it, I'm guessing by Customs. Problem is, what to do with these photos?! I feel mean at the prospect of just binning them without trying to reunite them with their owner. There was a story in the news recently about a child's toy being reunited with it's owner through social media. Does anyone have any (nice!) suggestions about what to do next? TIA

Yes, if you scan and put the images (or just a couple of them) on Twitter, they'll get shared until someone who knows the people can get in touch and tell you where to send them.
