To not know I had a slow cooker?

Grin

I moved house in April. I did not pack a slow cooker. I didn’t have one to pack. Today when putting saucepans away I spotted a plug on the bottom shelf, had a look and there’s a slow cooker there. It’s not new. My only guess is that my mum, whilst helping me move, saw I didn’t have one and decided I needed one. She has one and loves it so that’s my assumption. I will text her later to ask.

In my defence- we all share the putting the dishes away job in this house and I rarely have reason to look on the bottom shelf. I’m guessing DC knocked something when putting something away and the plug became more visible.

Ever found any surprise gifts in your house? Grin

Only the ones my cat brings in from the garden!

No, but when I helped my mum trawl through her kitchen cupboards, she had NINE different sorts of lemon squeezer! 😆

Does she do a lot of lemon squeezing? I don’t have one (as far as I know Wink)

Thanks Smile

So are you going to use said slow cooker? Don't bother, get an instant pot Does your mum usually surprise you with stuff and not say anything? Personally I think your new house must be haunted by Keith Floyd.

Could it have been left behind by the previous residents? We acquired some kitchen scales but didn't realise until we'd moved again and the removers had kindly packed them for us!

It was probably left behind and just come to light.

Someone left us a teapot once, at the back of a cupboard, it was exactly the same as ours but I knew it wasn't ours because it was packed away due to only being used when we had visitors.

I was also left a fair amount of furniture when I bought a house, the clearance people organised by the agents never turned up. I just kept it. Was pleased to discover it was mainly antiques and I still have most of it, some really nice stuff.

Not recently but she did go through a phase when she first retired of “helping” me with housework. Whilst I was out. Without asking me if I wanted the help Grin

It definitely wasn’t left behind by previous tenant as I scrubbed the house inside out before I moved in. The only thing left behind was a tag off a dog’s collar which I sent on to the lady who lived here before.

When my parents bought their house the seller left loads of lovely China cups and saucers, dinner wear and glassware. But no carpets. Confused

When we moved we found a child’s small backboard and a child’s Ben ten plastic ring thingy for swimming
Other than that-nothing!
We should have bought a different house lol
