Managed to get my hands on the new orange flavoured Twirl bar which was released today. AIBU to drive to all the local supermarkets and buy the lot?! So delicious 🤤

Saw a jar of marmite and peanut spread this morning..Envyyukk.....not sure what that's got to do with a twirl bar though😀

BuzzShitbagBobbly · 04/10/2019 15:12

Lidl do a version of an orange aero
Orange aero is available at Aldi

So now that is Co-op for the twirls, Lidl and Aldi.
How many supermarkets is too many?

MsLumley · 04/10/2019 15:19

I just went on the hunt and found them in my local budgens. Plan was to eat half now and half after dinner but I seem to have accidentally scoffed both in one sitting whilst barely drawing breath 😳

SilverySurfer · 04/10/2019 15:25

Contains palm oil hence inedible shit.

Rivergreen · 04/10/2019 15:28

The orange lindor bar tastes just like chocolate orange used to before it went baaaad

The mint one is yum too

Bluntness100 · 04/10/2019 15:31

It's weird that this is such a a popular combination that more manufacturers don't do it.

takeasadsongandmakeitbetter · 04/10/2019 15:37

Can't wait to try this!
Also a big fan of the Aldi bubbly orange chocolate bar... I buy 3 a week and keep them hidden from DP and DS so I don't have to share Blush

KungFuPandaWorks · 04/10/2019 15:38

Literally just finished eating one. Disappointed massively. The orange isn't that strong in it and the chocolate isn't as melty if that makes sense.

PigletJohn · 04/10/2019 15:43

"just finished eating one"

one what?

GladAllOver · 04/10/2019 15:45

Not just palm oil but they are experimenting with other odd stuff as well. Have a look at the ingredients on the wrapper. A
nything to reduce the proper cocoa butter and the cost of making it, and sod the nasty oily aftertaste.
It just isn't Cadburys any more.

Ellabella989 · 04/10/2019 16:03

@rivergreen LOVE the Lindor bars. Could eat a million of them. Also love the orange, mint and hazelnut Lindor truffle balls ❤️❤️❤️

Orange matchmakers are the best! Not tried the Twirl yet.

Jimmers · 04/10/2019 16:06

😭😭 @Ellabella989 they haven’t got any!!!

Ellabella989 · 04/10/2019 16:11

@Jimmers hopefully it won’t be long until everywhere is stocking them. It took me ages to hunt down the new Cadbury gingerbread bar a few weeks ago and now they are readily available everywhere

Basketofkittens · 04/10/2019 17:55

I can’t find either the orange Twirl or the gingerbread one. Grrrrrr.

Ellabella989 · 04/10/2019 18:24

The gingerbread only comes in the large family size of bar. It’s really nice didn’t particularly taste of gingerbread to me. Was a bit more like a Crunchie flavour

I only have dark chocolate occasionally, my absolute favourite are Twirl or Wispa bites. Also like the new Tony's stuff in the red wrapper, tastes like choc used to taste

mnthrowaway2099 · 04/10/2019 19:12

I sort of want to try it, but I feel like limited edition/fancy versions of standard chocolates always end up being naff! Eg the white twix. I can already sense the disappointment.

WillowherbRose · 04/10/2019 19:16

Not good

Too sweet, not chocolaty enough and definitely not orangey enough Sad

Bezalelle · 04/10/2019 19:17

I'm going to need a million one of these.

Nutellalovesme · 04/10/2019 19:23

Somebody on another thread said the orange twirls are only available in Birmingham.......Obviously that can't be right can it?

Deathraystare · 04/10/2019 19:26

I am with you Bright Yellow Daffodill - I do like Jaffa cakes and orange matchmakers but loathe anything else choclate and orange - Terry's Orange - yeuch! Twirls are lovely without ruining them thank you!

Ellabella989 · 04/10/2019 19:52

Has anyone tried the orange Bournville?

OP posts:
vampirethriller · 04/10/2019 19:58

Aldi have got big orange Aero bars in at the moment.
Orange Twirls aren't very orangey Sad

Oh @Deathraystare I quite agree. I used to always end up with the abomination that is a Terry's Chocolate Orange at Christmas ("It's not Terry's...it's mine" - no, you keep it love). I smiled politely then put it in the foodbank box.
