To get a flu jab?

I'm mid 30s and relatively healthy. Struggle with anemia but that's it.

A couple years ago I had a really bad dose of the flu that almost put me in hospital. It took me almost a year to recover fully (and to be honest, I've never felt quite as good as I did before)

Thinking about getting a flu jab this year because I'm really scared of getting the flu again.

If you want it, get it for your peace of min and who knows, maybe your physical health.

As I have asthma, I'm in an at risk group so the NHS recommend it and I get it at the doctors. All the scare stories about vaccines are bollox.

Go for it and hopefuly have a good winter. xx

Just get it done. You're very unlikely to get side effects- the worst I've ever had is a slightly sore arm. It only costs £10 from your local chemist if you're not entitled to an nhs vaccine but get it done quick. They're in short supply this year

Don't worry about the side effects and ignore snotty pharmacist. Was it the actual pharmacist or a shop assistant? A pharmacist will want to take you seriously surely?

I had mine done this morning. It was the last dose Boots in my town had available. They had asked for more, but the request was denied showing as not available.

Sure why not? I’m getting mine on Saturday (I get one on the NHS and do every year). If I didn’t qualify though, I’d pay privately.

YANBU at all! You dont even need to explain to the pharmacist, just say you want it and get it...
