Had one from Amazon a while back which was fab for keeping drinks warm for ages and didn't leak. It was great but also quite hard to clean the lid part properly. It's now well and truly at the end of its days so I need a new one. Can't find the old one now and probably need one that will be easier to clean properly too.
Any recommendations please?

Contigo Byron. Available in Tesco and Asda.

Lifecraft · 01/10/2019 19:56

Avex. No leaks ever, keeps drink hot for ages, and one handed operation so great when you're driving.

pumkinspicetime · 01/10/2019 19:57

I have a contigo as well. No leaks and I hand wash.

MoltoAgitato · 01/10/2019 19:59

Think Avex and Contigo are the same company. If you don’t have a dishwasher, just use hot soapy water and if you ever need to, a Milton sterilising cycle. I keep a bottle of Milton to do flasks and water bottles every now and then.

Singlebutmarried · 01/10/2019 20:01

I’ve got a camelback, the lid is dishwasher able but the cup isn’t.

Just bought an aladdin one for DD (they do a small one) and that’s fully washerable so may treat myself
To the bigger version.

I have one from snap fish with my sons photo on it which comes everywhere with me and doesn’t leak

Annasgirl · 01/10/2019 20:07

Contigo - the whole family have them now they are so good.

Xmasbaby11 · 01/10/2019 20:09

Camelbak. Amazing! Bombproof!

Howaboutthisone · 01/10/2019 20:10

Thank you!

Contigo from Costco.
Have also got a chilly’s bottle that I’ve used for hot and it does stay HOT in the bottles and they are leak proof but the cups aren’t.

KenAdams · 01/10/2019 20:12

Bodum - the one with the two lids. I've had mine for 7 years and its still going strong.

drspouse · 01/10/2019 20:13

Contigo are great BUT if you buy from Asda beware that they won't do customer service. The seal came loose on mine and Contigo say "not bought in the US" while the UK customer service say "we don't do Asda"

KenAdams · 01/10/2019 20:13

I've also got a Contigo and all the paint has peeled and it's really hard to clean properly. It's also been used a lot less - I use my Bodum every day.

AwdBovril · 01/10/2019 20:16

Bodum. The metal one. The plastic ones are useless - doesn’t keep it hot for long, & very easily broken. We bought ours in TK Maxx.

Frogshoe · 01/10/2019 20:17

Kleen kanteen! So easy to clean and hot or cold drinks for hours

Orangecake123 · 01/10/2019 20:20

With hindsight I would have spent more on the travel mug I bought last year and gone for the contingo. I got mine for £6 from my local supermarket and the push lid stopped working. I still use it but have to have to unscrew the top.

Laura221 · 01/10/2019 20:24

This one! It doesn't leak and it can also be used for cold drinks with a straw as it has a hole in the lid for a straw as well. Hasn't leaked in the last 6 months. My husband has one too and loves it.

Thank you all! I'm shopping around for prices now.

My husband swears by his; the brand is Built and I got the last one off Amazon for less than a tenner. It took us a while to figure how to separate the parts of the lid, but now we know how, it's really easy to keep clean.

cortex10 · 01/10/2019 22:09

Really upset that I seem to have lost my Contigo somewhere at work this week - I keep wandering around the building and opening random cupboards in the vain hope it will turn up. Probably going to have to conclude it's been stolen. Best cup ever.

Katkincake · 01/10/2019 22:35

Watching with interest as I had a Contigo which was great until the seal came loose and I can't get it back in place around the lid rim despite many attempts. Bought a Thermos one last week which is fine until I read a tiny almost invisible stick on label at the bottom saying "not leak proof keep upright" - marvellous Hmm

Anyone had any success putting the seal back on a Contigo?

Hope you find yours cortex
