To complain about head teacher and if so, how?

Head teacher is very unkind to the children ie 'oh you again, so lazy as usual' or 'that other child is way better than any of you' these are comments directly to children in year 4 for example.

She is incredibly rude to me personally, and has stormed towards me with a raised voice in a panicky scream on two occasions. On both occasions my DC were in their respective classrooms and I was peacefully looking at a display with my back turned if that's any context, waiting to hand in consent forms.

I would prefer she stopped speaking to me as I find her approach bordering on bullying.

Or can I raise this with anyone as I think she is horrible to the children and vile to parents.

Did she think you were a random woman/ parenting in the school with no one knowing?

She's right to be worried as that would've been a safeguarding issue

If governance in a school is so poor they won't hold the head to account then there are bigger issues for the school than whether a parent likes the head teacher's tone.

One thing to be aware of is that accountability doesn't automatically mean things change / what a parent takes to governors will happen. Governors can (and do in my experience) grill the head, make them justify things, challenge them and so on and conclude they support the head, or they may have difference of opinion but they support the head's judgement on an issue.

I agree here that the OP doesn't have much to go on to be honest.

If we hadn’t have been through something similar I’d have thought you were exaggerating. Our kids school was like a prison! The head was vile. There was a mass complaint put in by the parents to the governors and then teachers were consulted (my friends a teacher at our school) and she was sacked. The place is a totally different school and it’s amazing. The teachers look happy and not soul drained zombies and the kids actually want to go to school. It’s is worth saying something trust me!
