I know my thread is in the wrong section but i don't know what to do?

Leave it. A fox will come and take it away before morning.

Chasingsquirrels · 01/10/2019 18:14

Ah, our green bins are full size wheelie bins so space isn't often an issue.
Hope something takes it away overnight then!

KidRock · 01/10/2019 18:14

Thank you

I hate sigeons... It would stay on my lawn!
Note I said sigeons... A few years ago my late DP and I were on a weekend break.. I over imbibed somewhat and he was steering me home along the seafront when I announced loudly that I hated sigeons a'd peagulls!!
Its gone down in both family histories.... 😁

Smallinthesmoke · 01/10/2019 18:18

If you are binning it, double and triple wrap it and seal it very tight. I have terrible experience of DH casually shoving a dead pigeon in our bin and then ... maggots
Alternatively I would just chuck it in some undergrowth ...

KidRock · 01/10/2019 18:18

Lol Elderflower ugh them pegulls are vicious bastards!

They mate for life. Probably a woodie, poor thing. Assume it really is dead and not sick although you probably wouldn't want to be taking it to a rescue.

If I find a little corpse I put it at the back of the shed, it will be gone by morning.

DontCallMeShitley · 01/10/2019 18:28

Will just add, back of the shed on the outside, not stuffed inside the shed and the door shut.

Windygate · 01/10/2019 18:37

If you bury it you risk the foxes digging it up as they will be able to smell it. Just bag it up and bin.

SherbetSaucer · 01/10/2019 18:41

Poor pigeon! Sad

WannabeGlamper · 01/10/2019 18:41

Don't put it in your black bin whatever you do - it will STINK. #voiceofexperience

TinyMystery · 01/10/2019 18:45

Don’t shout about it or everyone will want one!

I’d definitely just leave it for the foxes.

HoldingBackTheCat · 01/10/2019 18:45

When does your black bin go? I once double bagged a dead animal for my bin and within 3days my bin was crawling with maggots and it stank. I ended up burying the thing!

Apolloanddaphne · 01/10/2019 18:51

I too just sling them into the field. They then enter the circle life and become dinner for another animal.

Aprillygirl · 01/10/2019 19:23

Leave it there for the foxes to feast on.

TheSandman · 01/10/2019 20:11

Seriously!? Is this for real? Pick it up put it in the bin or the compost heap.

hiddenworlds · 01/10/2019 20:20

Check for a tag (racing). If there is remove it and log it (google how to do it)

Spade, bin, done.

ConfusedBear · 01/10/2019 20:34

It could be worse. I had a dead rat on my lawn today.

Triple bagged it and put it in my black bin ready for collection on Monday. It didn't seem like a job that was going to get any better the longer I left it.

Anyone got tips on how to sanitise and remove smells from a wheelie bin?

Cherrysoup · 01/10/2019 20:35

Or were you very close in which case my condolencesSad

Pmsl!

I would shove it in the green bin if I didn’t know why it died. Otherwise, I’d normally pluck/gut for the dogs.
